Like a Wolf

Like a wolf
He approaches
Soft and easy.
He dances
A circle round me.
Eyes imprisoned
I cannot bring myself
To stare him down.

Welcome to my web page.  At the bottom of the page you can find links to my poetry, short stories, articles and essays, workshops, photographs and my doggies.

I was born in 1937 in Oklahoma and moved to California in 1954 where I spent most of my adult life.  I married, had two children and a career.  These children gifted me with five grandchildren, who in turn gifted me with six great grandsons. A new great grandchild will be born in March 2007 and I am told that it will be a girl.

After retirement, I attended Humboldt State University in Arcata California and graduated in 2000 with a BA in Critical Thinking, Ethics and Communication.  While at HSU I became interested in writing. In 2002 I moved to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico.

I have self published four Chapbooks. Three are bilingual in English and Spanish. A fourth chapbook, "Short Stuff" is in English only, was published in 2006. This book is a collection of very short stories.

Two of my short stories have been published in online magazines.  "Singing With the Ladies" (Flash Fiction) in Doorknobs and Bodyworks and "The Slide" in The Melic Review.
